Hello there and happy Friday my friends!

As you can tell today's post is VERY relaxed and a teeny bit goofy. I got to take photos with my best friend/partner in crime and although the shoot started out kind of serious it quickly morphed into us just being ourselves and having a blast. I mean just look at this mural! How could you not have fun while being around it? Anywho, I'm pleased to introduce my normal, goofy, and slightly awkward self to you.

*Just to get it out of the way, yes my jeans are in fact blue and not black. Shocker; I know, but I am trying to branch out. *

This tee represents something that means a lot to me. Heart Support is an organization that I had the pleasure of getting to know this summer when I was on Warped Tour with Action for Animals. They journey into the places many Christians would not think of going and they share the gospel in order to provide healing/support, which I think is truly a remarkable act.

The hardcore/ punk/ metal industry has a lot of people who feel incredibly alone and often times like life is not worth living. Please know that I am not trying to say only the people in this scene feel this kind of pain because I am well aware it exists everywhere; I'm merely focusing on it for brevity. This also happens to be the kind of scene that Heart Support emerged from, therefore it is the music I will focus on today.

Though this is not the case now, I used to struggle with my own self-worth a lot as well. There was a point in my life in which I relied on self-mutilation to 'take the pain away.' I was in a constant battle with depression and thinking my life was not worth living, and let me tell you, it was exhausting. I didn't find my healing through Heart Support (it was a loooong time ago you guys), but I did find my healing in Christ. It was His strength that allowed me to see how beautiful my life and the world around me truly was. I no longer needed to harm myself, for I had given all my fears and doubt to my Father, and He has held them ever since.

Everyday that I was on tour I was able to witness them heal so many people. They provided them with lasting support- the word of God- and genuinely listened to all those kids who felt so lost. I cannot stress enough how important their work is. They are saving lives and giving the greatest gift on earth to millions of people. Check out their site and if you know anyone who is struggling with depression, self-harm, or doubt then please, please, please share their work with them. Above all else, lend them your ears and do not allow them to go through this alone. Take the time to share with them or remind them that they are loved by you and by God. "You can't fight this battle alone" but together we can tread boldly into the future.

Thank you guys so much for reading. Until next time.

Stay Golden,

xxCaitlin.
