Fly Fridays: Winter Coziness

Hey, friends! Grace here  - I'm popping in to talk about a recent outfit collaboration with Caitlin...we had a recent little winter-themed photoshoot. These freezing cold days of dreary grey skies and rain just make you want to curl up inside in comfy clothes and a good book.

The ever-fashionable Caitlin, of course, is excellent at rocking the comfy-cozy street that is so trendy right now...so the perfect recipe for a chilly winter day?

Oversized shirt,
leggings,
warm socks,
infinity scarf,
hair in a braid,
a mug of tea,
and your favorite book.

As Caitlin's favorite book of all time is Alice in Wonderland, we couldn't not include it in the shoot. So here's to spending the weekend in the best way - in cozy clothes with tea + books. Happy weekend, friends!

Fly Fridays: Back to School

Red Flats: Old Navy
Necklace: Gift
Coat: Target
Hello there and Happy Friday! & what a lovely day it is. Today just so happens to be my 21st Birthday and let me tell ya, it has been absolutely fantastic. I managed to squeeze in some tea time this morning with my good friend, I had like 14 breakfast cookies (aka cookies), and I had pleasant run-ins with several people who are dear to me. Tonight's plan include Chuy's with like 20 people. How in the world the group got that big is beyond me. Regardless, I am incredibly excited to spend an evening with some of my closest friends. Also margaritas. It is going to be golden.

Anyways, Baylor is now back to its normal bustling self. Junior in college and the first day of classes still scare the living daylights out of me. I also always freak out over what to wear. Granted I do that for nearly every day of the week, but ya know. This year I decided to keep things classic and cozy for the first day of school. Soft turtle necks and flashy gold jewelry is the way to go my friends. I opted for black slip-ons for a majority of the day, but the red flats helped add a bit of sophistication for the times when I was at work. Shoes always amaze me with their magical transformation powers. They can completely change the look of an outfit, which can sometimes be a bad thing haha.

I'm keeping things short today because I've got a full day ahead of me, but I wish you all the very best. Have a wonderful weekend!

Stay Golden,

xxCaitlin.

Strikes My Fancy #26

Hello there and welcome to this week's Strikes My Fancy post! Good times await.

1. Nine In The Afternoon- Panic! At the Disco

The other day my dear friend Kennedy and I had the opportunity to jam this song on karaoke. This song in general is loads of fun, but throw some great friends and awkward dancing into the mix and it becomes golden. So here you go; enjoy.

2. This is probably my new favourite thing ever.

3. Watch this video. Even if it is the only productive thing you do today you will not be disappointed.

4. So accurate that it hurts.

5. I will forever love these men. They have a direct link to my funny bone.

6. This is old news, but seriously. Liberties aside, I did enjoy the third movie quite a bit.

7. If you don't laugh you are broken.

8. Because dinos... and it is just super rad.

9. The reasons I stayed in the house all day. However Netflix/ Breaking Bad is the real reason.

10. Pretty much.

That is all for today! Thanks so much for tuning in and I'll talk to you cool cats later. Until then.

Stay Golden,

xxCaitlin.

Fly Friday: Monday Style

All photos by our old friend Jessica.

Top/Loafers/Necklace/Headband: Old Navy
Collared Blouse/Jeans: Forever 21
Ring: Charming Charlies

Hey there and happy Monday...?  It's been a little while since I have posted anything. The rush of the holidays/ the Cotton Bowl got the better of me. Regardless, I am back now! Also, yes these photos were taken with an iPhone because I conveniently misplaced the charger for my camera.

The day was originally supposed to be a photoshoot of sorts, but in the end it became more about documenting our time in the antique store. There are several other somewhat embarrassing photos that were taken as well. I am not sharing them here because they are hardly relevant, but I have them for my records. Let it be known that I cannot play the trombone... or even hold the thing properly.

Anyways it was a fantastic day with my best friend and I am going to leave it at that. Regular posts will resume tomorrow. So until then!

Stay Golden,

xxCaitlin.
